What Roxy MiCeli doesn't like about Sweet Onion:
I hadn't been here in a year. The crabcake was half the size twice the cost. My friends trout tasted awful, his veggies was but a garnish. Boo, I'll never return or recommend! I was so embarrassed I picked the sour onion View all feedback.
Another phenomenal experience at Sweet Onion! We missed the opportunity to book a table, but it was suggested to call back to add our name to the waiting list. We have and have been called to exactly the promised time. We ordered the grouper special and the open-standing pot roast sandwich, both different from what we usually get, but still so good. So much love goes into this food!! I never go without getting the blackberry cream brulee, and it never disappoints... save space for it! After living and eating at all the best places in Charleston, this is still my favorite dessert.
Great food! I highly recommend getting the French Onion soup! Also their drinks are great as well. We sat at the bar for our meal because it was sooo busy. Make sure you get reservations or come early.
8/7/2021: I had the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries. Hubby had the country fried steak with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes and cole slaw. All of the food was outstanding. Portions were generous. Our server (also the bartender) was very friendly and very knowledgeable. We would definitely eat here again.
This was by far the best Restraunt, food and service on our stay in maggie Valley this weekend. The crispy Cajun Brussel sprouts were a big stater. The rainbow trout and mixed vegetables were excellent. I also need to mention the sweet tomatoes glazed meat flakes. Our food was great, the service was equally impressive.
My wife and I chose this place from a hat as a place for lunch and we were not disappointed. The Pot Raost was really delicate and full of taste while my roasted Catfish sandwich, which boiled and seasoned well. Rooms to improve would clean the catfish fillets of gray fat before you cook it. People who have read my reviews know that this is one of the things that restaurants from a top rating. The correct cleaning of Welsfilets is the difference between ok and big. This is a beautiful place and the service was good.
