What Ayesha T dislikes about Dandan:
The food at this restaurant was decent! We ordered the hot and sour soup, but it was only warm instead of hot. However, the fish dry pot was outstanding, and the Kung Pao chicken was also very tasty! Our waitress was fantastic. The only problem we encountered was securing a table. On a Saturday night, I called at 6:30 PM, and the hostess told me to come in because there was a table available. Amazing! Everything was really yummy and the presentation was beautiful. Super friendly staff, too. My photos are bad bc I was busy eating hehe
DanDan Wayne is one of the best restaurants in the area! The food is always very fresh with amazing flavor. My friends and I have eaten here throughout college and we have always be pleasantly surprised by the food! The Cumin Chicken dish is awesome aswell as the Garlic Sauce Chicken and the Spicy Aromatic Pot! This restaurant is must-try if you are in the area and great forspecial events like a Graduation! :
What a great Taiwanese restaurant! Made for sharing, their family style dishes allow you to try all the good things. Fair warning when they say spice, they mean spice (not “American spicy” . We had ????Crispy spicy cucumbers yes, get them. They’re a favorite for a reason. ????Dumplings in chili oil there are 8 and it’s large (more dough than filling . Greatflavor. ???? Spicy beef hand ripped noodles the pieces of beef were super flavorful and tender. The noodles were veryy largeand so long it made them difficult to share. ????Spicy aromatic pot (with shrimp tons of flavor, large dish Definitely moreexpensive, but large portions and absolutely delicious.
The Food was Amazing. I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles and really didn’t need an entree it was very filling. But it can be spicy for a few. It wasn’t that expensive either. Very clean and quiet restaurant, they even have outside seating available.

Food is good. However take out often has issues. Today there was a missing dish. Previously the containers leaked. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Dandan Noodles, Fish
The spicy food here is delicious! I really enjoyed the spicy hot pot with beef, fried chicken wings, and dan dan noodles. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The service was excellent—fast and friendly. The atmosphere is great, especially with the bar counter, making it a perfect place to hang out with friends or have a date. The only downside is that the food was quite salty. I asked the staff to use half the usual amount of salt for everything, but it was still a bit too much. I hope this can be improved next time. Otherwise, it's a fantastic place! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Now, let's get into the food—and the *speed* at which it arrives! Our meal began with an intriguing appetizer: Spicy Cucumber. It's served cold, has a nice crunch, and offers a surprisingly refreshing taste—definitely a great topic for conversation. We also enjoyed a Hot and Sour Soup that was so delicious we shared it among four people. The kids loved the String Green Beans—who knew that vegetables could be so entertaining? However, the highlights of the meal were undoubtedly the Spicy Aromatic Pot with tofu and the Dry Pot Chicken. These dishes were nothing short of magical, featuring the perfect level of spiciness, along with tender and juicy tofu and chicken that were bursting with flavor. Honestly, I can't stop thinking about them! Dan Dan strikes the perfect balance of quick service and exceptional food, all in a family-friendly environment. Whether you're managing kids or catching up with friends, this is a place that won't let you down. Trust me, your taste buds will be grateful!
Incredible food and service! We drove over an hour to eat here, and it was definitely worth the trip. The mapo tofu is simply outstanding!
Very good food. I praise how fast the food comes out. This is a perfect spot for lunch while you’re at work and they will have you seated/fed/and out in about 35 mins. It’s also a good spot to chill too or for a nice dinner.
Family favorite- never had a bad dish here. Servers are the best, and the chefs are amazing.
I've dined at Dan Dan multiple times, and I've always left satisfied. It’s best to make a reservation ahead of time. Inside, the atmosphere can be a bit cramped and bustling. However, during the warmer months, I recommend eating on their outdoor deck. It offers a sense of privacy and tranquility, thanks to the surrounding wall and planters, despite being close to the street. On our last visit on a Saturday night, the deck was mostly empty, even with the lovely 80-degree weather. The menu is extensive and features authentic Chinese dishes, so if you’re looking for just General Tso's or Kung Pao, you might be let down. The spice levels are clearly marked. I highly recommend the Dan Dan noodles with pork as an appetizer—they are absolutely delicious. The service is both efficient and attentive.

My favorite dishes are the Jing Jang pork and Dan Dan noodles. The house fried rice and lo mein are excellent as well. I've also had the best wonton soup here; the wontons are incredibly tender!
The Sichuan Style Fried Rice with bacon is amazing! It would be great if you could add a gluten-free option to the DoorDash menu so we don't have to call ahead every time to inquire.
The food here is absolutely amazing. I tried the Seafood Pumpkin Tofu Soup, and although it was a spur-of-the-moment decision, I loved it so much that I ordered it again. It's fantastic!

Our waitress was fantastic. The only problem we encountered was securing a table. On a Saturday night, I called at 6:30 PM, and the hostess told me to come in because there was a table available. Upon arrival, I discovered there was no table ready, and with three hostesses present, I had no way of knowing who I had spoken with. The manager was rather unwelcoming and not very understanding about the situation. Eventually, we were seated near a workstation where high chairs were stored, so for ambiance, I would rate this place 0 stars! On the bright side, the service was quick.

Never disappoints. Pork Dumplings in chilly oil and Dry pepper chicken are delicious.

What a fantastic discovery! The food was outstanding, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable! We tried the pig dogs in chili oil, Taiwanese chopper rice, dry pot beef, and dry pepper chicken, all for just $50! The flavors were incredible, and the portion sizes were just right. I highly recommend the pig dogs in chili oil and the dry pepper chicken!
I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been here a few times, and it's very authentic. They also have special dishes for the New Year, which are delicious!
