This fish market used to be located in Charlotte North Carolina right behind our house and we used to go there a few times a week for lunch or to buy fresh fish to bring home. Not too long ago they moved to Waxhaw NC and we drive out of our way. Make a special trip on the weekends now to get our favorite soup and sandwiches. The Salmon BLT is an absolute delight, and the corn chowder remains our all time favorite soup! Also try the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapenos. They’re amazing!

Fresh seafood isn't cheap and cheap seafood isn't fresh

Lobster rolls were fantastic and Larry was patient and helpful. Our family absolutely loved them for our birthday celebration! The lobster was fresh and plentiful, and it was easy since the split buns and cole slaw were included. I highly recommend this!

If you want fresh fish, don't go to your local grocery store. Instead, try Terra Mare Market on the corner of Providence Road and New Town Road. The first thing you notice when you open the door is the fresh fish that is on display with the aroma of food cooking in the kitchen. Along with selling fish, you can order sandwiches, soups, or salads to go or eat outside. There are three tables with chairs to enjoy the food you ordered on a sunny day. I went there on a Saturday wanting to try the lobster roll, but it was already sold out. So I bought some salmon. It was delicious! I went back early Friday to get the lobster roll. It was worth the wait. Absolutely delicious. It's served on a toasted roll with lobster cuts that are buttery. When you bite in, you taste the crunchy roll and the warm buttery lobster. Squeeze some the slice of lemon on it and just enjoy the food. Will definitely go back for another lobster roll.

Lobster roll was delicious. Service was great. Unfortunately, there's only outdoor seating. Good overall if you're craving a lobster roll with real lobster.
