good place to have a walk from, business and caffe after we drop our children to visit birdworld (the old enough on own faust), and go for a walk in alice fetched over the street. come back, make a few garden center shopping and...then lunch. great day for everyone. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The At Forest Lodge:
there are 2 foods q's. a cake, the other hot breakfast. I'm fine. but there is only one place to order and pay hot drinks. So they have their hot breakfadt they have to go to the other line. his soou long that when they get on the table and on the table, their hot breakfast is stone cold with sogy toast! not exactly a victor haskins. Went for usual sunday roast which very nice except for very poor yorkshire puds, please change recipe very very dense. Suggest equal amounts, milk, eggs and plain flower does the trick ever time otherwise great Dave
The carvery is now a staggering £15.99. I ordered expecting something lovely and left feeling totally ripped-off. For my £15.99 all I received was 2 slices of just warm chicken and some stuffing, 2 cool roasted potatoes, 3 carrots, a small spoonful of beetroot and gravy. I shall be finding another establishment in future.
Very disappointing visit for Sunday lunch. Waited so long to pay the dinners were cold. My 99 year old step mum refused to eat it but to be honest it wasn’t the most attractive meal. Way over priced. Restaurant full of young staff with no apparent manager in site. No cutlery. Very poor management of cleaning and we sat looking at a mountain of dirty dishes. No customer service ie sorry for keeping you waiting more like a grunt
Excellent Food and Service! We called in on a Saturday lunchtime. We all had the carvery. The food was excellent and our portions were large. We were served with a smile and the restaurant environment is very nice. Looking forward to our next visit!
Very poor service 52mins to get food mid week. Lots of very young staff but zero organisation or management. Food was awful
