While some patrons rave about affordable yet satisfying meals, like the £3.99 managers special curry, others lament the inconsistent portion sizes and lack of cleanliness between table settings. Service can be hit or miss, with some staff praised for friendliness, while others appear disengaged and uncaring. The ambiance suffers from overzealous air conditioning and a steep staircase, challenging comfort levels. Though the hotel accommodations impress with spacious rooms and reasonable prices, high parking fees deter visitors. Overall, The Kings Head leaves diners divided.
I always enjoy my visits to Wetherspoons. They offer affordable meals, deals, and coffee in the charming riverside town of Beccles. A great experience every time.
We did not stay at the restaurant, but we stopped in for a meal during our day out. The food was welcome and familiar, as expected at a Wetherspoon restaurant. My wife, two grandchildren, and I were able to eat and drink for £53, which we found to be reasonable given the location.
I stayed at this hotel for one night on a Sunday. I had never heard of Witherspoon's hotels before, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom, and it was all offered at a great price. The hotel staff and bar employees were all very friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place.
In the heart of Beccles and retained a lot of the old structures. Its a rambling ground floor with lots of little rooms and hide holes, so doesn't feel like a huge place. The bar and service staff were quick and efficient. The only downside is the staircase to the 1st floor toilets, which narrows and is steep.
Had a katsu curry chicken dry not the katsu I ordered worst meal I've had from wetherspoons mentioned it to staff didnr even want to know what wrong with it
