Fabulous walk along Lowestoft promenade we needed a lunch time drink in the sunshine. We didn't want to eat ,just s drink as we had a restaurant booked in the evening. We had a wine a coffee must say the fish chips that were coming out looked amazing. View all feedback.
Battered fresh mushrooms were a big hit! eating was hot fresh and cheap. good menu.

I am so happy to have found a chip shop that offers gluten-free options. Due to medical reasons, I have not been able to enjoy traditional fish and chips for years. This chip shop now offers gluten-free options on Mondays and Tuesdays. The portions are generous for the price and the staff provide friendly service with a smile. I highly recommend this place.
The restaurant's opening and closing hours are strange, even without considering the Covid situation. It seems like they prioritize making money over customer convenience. The staff are nice and the fish is decent, though it's not actually caught from their own boats as advertised. Instead, it's delivered late at night to their homes and stored in freezers in a double garage. It's a shame that Solbay isn't upfront about where their fish really comes from.
