Lovely experience here. Lovely and warm. Food was served hot and the scampi and chips were lovely and golden. One had a sandwich which was served in fresh bread with generous filling. Staff were very friendly. Will definitely be going again.l View all feedback.

My husband always has a large latte and they give you a loyalty card. Place and people not very good. Surly and rude a lot of the time but this seems to happen a lot since covid. This weekend was even worse than normal and we will never return. Filled loyalty card buying large lattes but they would only exchange for a tea. I was told the rules had changed. This cafe is now called the watering can since they took it away from last owner after covid and the manager is very rude, Very expensive for so so food and drink with rude arrogant service.
This is a OK place to go for a hot drink But the cake I had was a little dry. And My tea cup had a few stains. Would come again
Vegetable curry, rice okay, curry flavour sauce poor, vegetables mainly mushy carrot shapes one piece of overcooked celery and another mushy vegetable worse meal ever. Chicken stew so unappealing lay presented served in soup dish dried chicken lumps one side, lots of boiled skin on potatoes the other side on some overcooked cabbage with very little gravy underneath. We got a box to bring this back for our dog but then threw it out! One slice of bread and butter £1.50!! On the up side the filter coffee and bottle of coke were good. Memo to self only use this cafe for drinks and scones.
Toast was jet black, my friend had a jacket potato and the skin was too hard to eat. The menu was on the table printed out with three desserts Bread and butter pudding, ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate brownie with walnuts and ice cream. When we went to order she said they didn’t do chocolate brownie but I could have one off the cake counter and a tub of ice cream with it. But this would cost £2.00 more than the dessert printed on the menu. Just had the brownie then waited over 10 minutes for my friend’s bread and butter pudding. No apologies from the staff.
