Hampton Inn Suites Chicago/waukegan

Stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend and enjoyed my stay. There were a few hiccups during my stay, but overall a good experience. This hotel had only been open 3 days at the time of my stay. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. There’s a complimentary breakfast (sausage, eggs, yogurt, apples bananas, bagels, and waffles) but breakfast ran out both mornings we went and was not replenished this was with a hour or so still left of breakfast hours. Saturday morning we were able to grab the last bit of the breakfast that was left, but Sunday morning they were out of everything besides waffle mix. It was an inconvenience, however, there’s a nearby Denny’s that we went to instead. I stayed in the king studio. The room was nice and included a kitchen stocked with necessities. They have other cooking appliances you may need that you can check out from the front desk. The bed was comfortable enough and the room had extra usb charging ports which was convenient. The hotel also has board games that you can check out as well! I didn’t use the gym during my stay, but did go in to use the water filling station. The gym consisted of a few treadmills, free weights, and a weight machine as well. The first hiccup I encountered was that housekeeping did not close the door completely after replacing the towels and changing the trash, leaving the door open after they were done. This is a huge safety and security concern. Luckily this occurred the morning that breakfast ran out which made us go back to our room sooner rather than later to grab our wallets where we were able to discover the opened door. The second hiccup was that I believe an item was taken from the room while housekeeping changed the towels. Of course I don’t have proof that housekeeping was responsible, however, it’s the only explanation I can think of. I didn’t realize the item was gone until I was already back home that night. I called checking to see if it was accidentally left as I did not want to jump to conclusions and was told to call back during the day because housekeeping wasn’t there until 10am. I called back and housekeeping said the item wasn’t found. This hotel is close to Great Lakes, about 13 minutes which is very convenient. The proximity to Great Lakes and newness of this hotel would make me return.

Subpar experience.I've recently been staying a Hilton properties at least once a week for work. This was the worst stay I've experienced at one. I choose the handicapped accessible rooms for the shower accessibility and this one had a broken shower head. No matter the setting, the water came out as in the photo. Fortunately I was able to get clean but not what one expects from Hilton properties and prices.Add to it the loud party in the next room til 2 am, no other accessible rooms to be moved to, and its now a rough morning on the road. I won't be reserving here when in the area in the future .

I love the brand hampton inn. this place lived up to the brand standard. its quite new, so it is very clean and well maintained. there are several new hotels in this opposite, but this is the only hilton brand hotel there. I would definitely recommend it!

This was a great place to stay, very clean, comfortable and our room was very large and beautiful! breakfast and coffee were good. if they need to be transported to a high-time location, I would make sure that the bus runs on time, otherwise they will probably be too late. that was the only case we had.

One of my favorite hotels to stay. This location in particular has upgraded TV's, rooms and a great fitness center with tread mills and free weights. Good hot breakfast and 24/7 coffee. Amazing staff ! Will definitely recommend for business travel or pleasure.
