Hawgsville Saloon - Watervliet

Apparently they are closed. The sign on the door says closed til spring 2019. Probably a typo. There is also a real estate sign on the building so maybe closed for good. I was looking forward to trying it. Wouldn't let me post without putting up stars so I guessed and put three. My suggestion is call before you go.

Best food ever!!!!!! We are in the north but god you ever want to travel south just head to Watervliet, MI. She's always got new type of home cooking! People are starting to realize what a gem this is so food runs out at times. But the south cooking is par to none!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG good Farthest thing from a biker's bar. I was a little leary to try it because of it being called a biker bar. Cops, firemen paramedics and biker's hang here. Nothing wrong with biker's anyway I love a good sounding Harley! What I'm trying to say is do not think it's guys from Son's of Anarchy that's the furthest from the truth. TRY you'll love it will not be disappointed. Best Philly cheese steak I've ever had!! Pulled pork was great also Fries good, fried mushrooms good Downtown Watervliet hidden gem Everything is made fresh in house. We definitely found a new favorite place. Definitely a return trip. If you look at my reviews I very rarely give 5 stars but I'd give a 10 if I could. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza, nachos and can't wait for chicken pot pie when it's a special.

Laurie, the chef is the $hit! She came out and talked with us about her cooking because we were so blown away by the food. There were 6 of us and we all left with a full tank. Definitely coming back tomorrow night for the Prime Rib!
