Contribute Feedback What Daphnee Rippin likes about Country Mile:
I watched this place being built, so I was pretty excited to check it out. They specialize in locally sourced food, and the menu selection was mostly vegetarian. I actually preferred the vegetarian dishes. The drinks were also very good. Overall, a bit pricey, but as long as I'm not eating there every day, I think it's a great treat. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, as were the staff. View all feedback.
The layout of this place is inadequate. Wasted space. No, where you sit for dinner on Thursday night at 8:00. decided to dinate from the bar. Unfairly price cocktails 18) and not good taste. I had 10x?s better to talk simple bars for less. Bartender created an off menu drink and offers excellent service. Had fried oyster mushrooms and beet salad, both of underwhelming portions and something I could? ve made at home. We had the fish of the day and the pig bell if you can call them that. They were delicious, but I would have eaten everything in a bite. I had better and more for less.
Great new location that I am sure will grow to a local destination. The room is intimate and cozy. The restaurant has clearly listened to feedback from reviews and how the reviews were fixed in other reviews (loud music, etc). Small plates (not tapas small) were good for exchange and had a variety of local fare. Excellent aromas, fat and brilliant supplements. An experienced chef behind the counter. Cocktails are on the more expensive side, but with high-quality ingredients from small local producers. Big beer list. The glassware was unique and a beautiful rustic touch. The staff was attentive and efficient. Overall, I will definitely be back and recommend it.
Small room full of love. Food changes consistently because it is fresh, local and sustainable. The wine menu and beer menu is amazing, always something else or funky. Super accommodating, and they make the best of the room they have! Common knowledge to expect a wait for Thurs-Saturday night. And no quiet date night, of course. But the cocktails make it absolutely worth waiting; not to mention this place was written by anyone who is someone! Look at their Instagram for some veggie inspiration.
Delicious food; great cocktails; friendly atmosphere; bad acoustics and music choice makes it noisier as it should be for fine food. You can find more reviews about music selection here. Both problems easily solved by some large sound insulation boards from the ceiling so high that no one would notice, and aim for lighter music choices, at least during peak times. As a Brooklyn native, I love the Ohm speakers, but they are far too large visual and acoustic for the room. Hope CM is a permanent watertown device. Advice: Choose a vibe and make it thoroughly.
