Overall, it was a pretty good experience! I ordered the dolsot bibimbap with beef, while my friend chose the kamjatang. The rice in my bibimbap, served in the stone bowl, was a bit dry and might have been stale, but the other ingredients were all fresh. The side dishes were excellent as well! We even ordered another round of the braised potatoes (gamja jorim), which were absolutely delicious. My friend found the kamjatang a bit challenging to eat since there were quite a few bones and not much meat, so just be aware of that if you decide to order it!
Authentic Korean cuisine served hot and fresh! It was an absolutely fantastic experience. I ordered the Bibimbap with beef, and it exceeded all my expectations. I would have included a picture of it, but I just couldn't resist diving in right away. I highly recommend this place—10/10—especially if you're craving some delicious, spicy food. I will definitely be back!
A few days ago, I had a craving for Korean food after finishing my exams, so I decided to treat myself by visiting The Famous OWL of Minerva. The food is incredible and a must-try if you’re in the mood for authentic Korean cuisine. I ordered the Kimchi Fried Rice, which featured stir-fried kimchi with rice, a mix of assorted vegetables, and topped with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg. I also tried the DalkChulPan, a spicy stir-fried chicken served on a sizzling hot plate. The restaurant's atmosphere was cozy, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable! Overall, this has become one of my go-to comfort food spots. Definitely check it out! For more reviews, follow us on Instagram and Facebook @eatinontario.
Ordered from Owl of Minerva Waterloo tonight. Quick, and tasty. Decent sized portions generous but not huge, and not expensive. The 'mild ' dishes were just as spicy as the 'spicy ' dishes, but hey, it 's Korean so buyer beware!
