Mimo Thai is a charming little local restaurant offering delicious Thai cuisine. Although the space is small with limited seating, it has a lovely atmosphere. They feature daily specials (as shown in the picture) and their food is fantastic. I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao and the Red Thai Curry, especially with a dash of spicy chili oil. What James wilson doesn't like about Mimo Thai Kitchen:
The food is decent, but their online ordering system is really frustrating. To indicate any substitutions, whether it's due to allergies or simply wanting tofu instead of chicken in a vegetarian dish, you have to check a box labeled "allergies." I've placed two online orders and both times, even after checking that box and specifying my needed substitutions, my requests were completely overlooked. The first time this... View all feedback.
This was our first visit, and we had a wonderful experience with the staff; they were attentive and friendly. The service was outstanding, which we truly appreciated. The mango salad was fantastic, featuring real mango, unlike other places we've tried. The beef fried rice was decent, though I thought it could have used a little more salt; however, the beef was tender and flavorful. We ordered the Panang curry with chicken, and the chicken was both tender and delicious, while the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Again, I felt it could have used a bit more salt, but the overall flavor of the curry was wonderful. Overall, we received exceptional service.
Mimo Thai is a charming little local restaurant that offers incredibly delicious Thai food. It's a cozy spot with limited seating, but the atmosphere is delightful. They have daily specials (check out the picture in the review), and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao and the Red Thai Curry, especially with a side of spicy chili oil. The staff is very polite and friendly. While parking can be a bit limited, you can usually find street parking without too much trouble. The prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking to indulge your taste buds with some fantastic Thai cuisine.
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the food and atmosphere were fantastic. I ordered the Vegetarian Thai Green Curry (spicy), and the red chili added a wonderful kick to the already delicious curry flavor. Another member of our group had the Red Curry Chicken, which was perfectly shredded and well-marinated with great flavor. We also tried the Pad See Ew with tofu, and it was excellent. I highly recommend this place!
I went here for the first time and it was amazing. The portions were great, the staff was friendly and the vibe was nice as well. I got the Khao Sai with chicken and it was really flavourful, the chicken inside it was also really tasty and not bland at all. I tried a bit of the green curry and that was also really really good. I’d recommend this to anyone in the area, and if you’re a student bring your ID for 10% off.
Mimo Thai in Waterloo is a small restaurant located on Spruce street. We went on a Thursday evening and dined in. We ordered first before we grabbed a seat. You get a $2 discount if you’re a student and they have daily specials that are listed on their website. The curries were on sale today $13.5). We got the Tom Kha a coconut based soup), it was only $7. I would not recommend it to someone that doesn’t like coconut since it’s very strong. We always get the yellow curry when we come here, the portion size is big and the curry is very fragrant. It has a little kick to it but I would say it’s more of a low level spice. It is our favourite dish from here. A new dish we tried was the Pad Krapow Basil. It was a bit spicier because of the chilis but it was so delicious. The dish was also very fragrant and the portion was huge, we had quite a bit leftover even after eating a lot of it. Finally, you can’t miss out on their Thai iced tea. It is so concentrated and creamy, the perfect consistency. They don’t always have it because it sells out so grab one if you get the chance! The only downside is their hours, it is kind of weird so make sure you call them in advance to check if they are open but you can also order through Skipthedishes. Overall, I highly recommend Mimo Thai. The staff are always so kind and welcoming.
