Hibachi Sushi Buffet - Waterloo

I walked from my hotel to the restaurant, which had a $15 buffet and a complimentary cup. The prices were excellent, and the place was beautiful and clean.

The food is typical of what you’d expect at a Chinese buffet in the U.S.—well-cooked and well-seasoned, just as it should be. At the checkout, a younger child, likely between 5th and 7th grade, took care of processing my credit card. I would rate this experience five stars, but the lack of clear communication regarding where to find drinks, utensils, and napkins brings the score down a bit. Overall, good food at a reasonable post-COVID price!

This is a very clean restaurant that always has a wide selection of dishes. Sushi is made fresh. There are many kinds of soups. Chef's choice is always a funny surprise This time was a chicken dish. You have the best hot immitation cabrole. This is the easiest way to describe it. You have always prepared shrimp in a variety of ways, your choice of rice and noodles. All buffet favorites. Friendly staff, sufficient parking and plenty of space for big parties.

I've been enjoying this buffet for over 12 years, and the food consistently impresses me with its superior taste, quality, variety, and temperature. While only a few employees speak English, they make a genuine effort to communicate, and they are very friendly when approached politely. It’s understandable that keeping staff can be a challenge, especially since many people currently prefer to stay home and receive government assistance. The hibachi chefs here work incredibly hard and provide a wonderful culinary experience. Instead of posting negative comments about this place, perhaps consider sharing your thoughts on fast-food chains like McDonald's or Hardee's instead, and give this buffet the recognition it deserves!
