I needed to pick up some last-minute gifts, so I decided to go to Olive Garden for lunch. We each enjoyed a glass of beautiful Moscato wine. My friend had the endless soup and salad, while I tried the shrimp and chicken Alfredo Carbonara - it was absolutely delicious! I also loved the Tuscan soup. The service was fast and very friendly. Stopped here for a quick dinner before a movie. It was 5:30 pm and was seated right away. Was told my server would be right over. Checked over the uninspiring menu. 9 servers passed by, no greetings and no eye contact. Left 15 minutes later. Place wasn’t busy. Appalling customer experience. Won’t be back EVER! Plus the menu was terrible. Don’t know how they are still open View all feedback.
We usually enjoy a good meal at Olive Garden, but today's lunch was a far cry from our past experiences at other restaurants. We dined at the Waterbury, CT location in the Brass Mill Mall, served by Amanda F. We ordered 2 unlimited soup and salad combos with Tuscana and Minestrone soup for myself and my wife, as well as a combo appetizer of stuffed mushrooms and mozzarella. The Minestrone was terrible, resembling Mexican salsa without any broth and lacking in taste. The Tuscana was overly spicy, with raw spinach and hard potatoes. The soups were disappointing. After finishing our salads, we waited over 15 minutes for our soups as our server was chatting with friends at another table. It got so bad that another server had to step in and offer us new drinks. Eventually, a manager brought our soups, apologized, and offered a discount. As we were leaving, Amanda F. attempted to make amends with some mint candies, but it was too late. Instead of causing a scene, we decided to leave. If I were Amanda's manager, I would have a serious talk with her. Customers should always come first, not personal friends.

Our waitress, Tia, was exceedingly pleasant and attentive. We came for lunch at noon on a school-free day, and many families were enjoying meals with their children. Our food was delicious, and the lunch menu prices were just right with a wide variety of options. The lunch menu has been recently updated for the better. Keep up the great work, Tia and Olive Garden! As a chain restaurant, consistency can be expected in the menus and dishes. Their cleanliness, convenience, and exceptional service set them apart. Well done!
