Cream Rolls - Watauga
Cream Rolls
Description
At this neighborhood dessert spot, artisanal rolled ice cream is theatrically crafted on an ultra-cold steel plate, yielding rich, creamy bowls with generous portions and customizable mix-ins. The open-view process is fun for families and groups, complemented by a spotless, lively room that blasts classic rock. Fans praise unique flavors and real-cream texture, but the slow, labor-intensive preparation means waits and occasional service lapses — including inconsistent topping presentation and rare early closures. Best visited unhurried, ideally with kids or friends eager for a memorable treat.

Very sub standard service. Unplaced an order, charged over $40 then after 25 minute wait, the order was canceled. Was told the business decided to close early...... Absolutely horrible service! The late cancellation screwed up my dinner plans. Don 't waste your time or money.
Seems good I have no problem with the workers they're good the place is filthy the floors are dirty the bathrooms dirty it's disgusting. Ice cream is good.
This was a first for my family and I.Of all places, my grandson saw a TikTok about it and convinced us to take a Saturday drive and go.Was a great experience watching the gal very competently make our treats. It was very obvious that each bowl of Cream Rolls take a good deal of upper body and leg strengths. The Platen is a negative 30 degrees that the Rolls are made on.All four of us ordered different flavors and they were all amazing, altho the one my son ordered, came with a spicy sauce that was better left out. We all agreed that it just didn't go with an ice cream treat. We will definately be back!!This is not a fast food place.Making these Cream Rolls is a definate ART and each one takes at LEAST 5 minutes to make. You can observe the entire process. If you are in ANY hurry, this place is not for you, but i DO recommend that everyone come back with time to spare and experience this amazing, delicious type of ice cream, that's made from real cream!!Currently, as of 08/28/2021, each bowl is $6 and well worth it!!Just a suggestion: Tipping would be a really nice thing to do, considering all the work put into each bowl.I suggest smaller children share a bowl.
We lover our rolled ice cream. It was tasty and beautifully presented. Hubby and son played connect 4 while waiting for their ice cream.
My son waited 30 minutes for his ice cream after ordering for himself and his aunt. When I arrived and asked for a quick bottle of water, the server said she would be with us in a moment. She completed our order but then turned to another family who had just sat down to take their order, which was fine since they were there before I walked in. However, she completely neglected to get our water while she was busy with them, instead of just handing it to me and moving on. I’m giving this place 2 stars because the ice cream is indeed delicious, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
