The food was sooo good! I didn't think I was a sushi fan, so I ordered a California roll, but decided to actually try sushi from the boat that my family ordered and it was incredible! The restaurant was nice inside. There was no sushi food for the children, but even they liked it. They surprised us with a dessert for a member of the family's birthday. The service was great. This used to be our favorite place to go but our last couple visits have been a disappointment. Quality of food did not compare to over priced menu. Soup was served cold. Meat was tough and stringy. Service was super slow. (Not busy at 2pm. Veggies were mushy. Ordered veg tempura, no sweet potatoes but got them in my to go order. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the service was quick and friendly.
I visited Tokyo's on Monday with my wife and daughter, and while they found the sushi enjoyable, that was the highlight of our experience. We waited over 20 minutes for our server to take our order, and then another 20 minutes for my food—General Tso Chicken and House fried rice—to arrive. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that my meal had been pre-made and simply microwaved, as it was cold and tasted like it had just come out of the refrigerator. I was honestly shocked that the health department hasn't shut this place down yet.
I ordered the shrimp tempura and spicy tuna rolls to go, and both were incredible! I highly recommend this place for fantastic sushi when you're in Wasilla!
Food was delicious. Atmosphere quite and relaxing. Service is great!
I'm not sure if it's a new ownership or what but this place is absolutely amazing and the food was fantastic as was the staff and service. A little spendy for regular visits but definitely worth going to every now and again!
