I usually order the pulled pork sandwich which has always been very good. The fritters are good as well. Remember folks, this is Alaska; not the deep south, so don't think of comparing food here (except salmon) to places where the food is best known. View all feedback.
We really enjoy the Rib Shack and go there pretty often. It's a great locally owned and operated place.
I had the worst BBQ experience here. I couldn't even finish my meal. Just one bite of the potato salad made me feel sick, and the ribs were dry and tough. On the bright side, they were fair about refunding my money.
I usually go for the pulled pork sandwich, which has always been outstanding. The fritters are pretty delicious as well. Just a reminder, everyone, that this is Alaska, not the Deep South, so don’t expect to compare the food here (except for the salmon) to that of well-known restaurants in those regions.
The food is absolutely delicious! It's the perfect choice for satisfying a BBQ craving. The fries and fritters are the best I’ve tasted in the state.
I always make it a point to order the corn fritters with honey butter whenever I visit! The ribs are consistently tender and flavorful, practically falling off the bone.
