I love this place! Cheapest sushi in town and the staff is so so friendly. I got the California roll, spicy salmon roll, and rockfish nigiri. All three were delicious! My sister loved the rainbow roll, and the miso soup was great. Of course this isn 't a five star sushi joint, it 's a more affordable 'to-go ' spot with great rolls that will satisfy your sushi fix. What Katie Henry doesn't like about Bento Box:
My experience wasn't great. When I stepped inside the clean but completely empty restaurant it smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke (but not outside at all? . I ordered the vegetable roll to go. Kudos to having a veggie roll, most sushi places don't offer it! The guy at the counter was friendly and it only took about 5 minutes for the food. The roll came in a styrofoam takeout box with a teensy amount of soy sauc... View all feedback.
The experience felt like a fast-food take on sushi. Everything appeared to be pre-made, with the shrimp tempura, dumplings, and miso soup all heated in the microwave. Although the staff were friendly, the restaurant was quite empty. I don't think I'll be coming back.
I can't recommend this place enough! It has the most budget-friendly sushi in town, and the staff is super friendly. I tried the California roll, the spicy salmon roll, and rockfish nigiri, and they were all fantastic! My sister loved the rainbow roll, and the miso soup was excellent. While it's not a five-star sushi restaurant, it's a great pick for takeout if you're looking for delicious rolls without breaking the bank. The decor is lovely, and the dining area is pristine. I highly recommend checking it out!
My experience at the restaurant was disappointing. Upon entering the clean but completely empty space, I was greeted by a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which was unexpected since there was no odor outside. I decided to order the vegetable roll to go, and I appreciated that they offered a vegetarian option, as many sushi places do not. The staff member at the counter was friendly, and it only took about five minutes for my order to be prepared. However, the roll was packaged in a styrofoam takeout container with just a small amount of soy sauce, which ran out before I finished my meal. To make matters worse, the rice was on the outside of the roll while the seaweed was on the inside. As I drove away, I saw the chef stepping outside for a smoke. Honestly, I can find a better vegetable roll at Fred Meyer. I won't be coming back.
This delightful little restaurant features a friendly gentleman at the counter. Although the service was a tad slower than anticipated, it added to the overall charming experience.
I stopped by for takeout on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The dining area and kitchen are cozy yet spotless. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The minimalist decor is elegant and uncluttered. Portion sizes are reasonable for the price, and the food is delicious. The onion crunch roll is exceptional! Additionally, I asked for a vegetable roll that wasn’t on the menu, and they were more than happy to accommodate my request. The roll names are clever, featuring Americanized options with a special emphasis on Alaskan salmon. Plus, they offer free tea while you wait. It’s a great choice for lunch or a casual dinner. While I'm unsure about its authenticity as Japanese cuisine, it’s certainly tasty.
