Description
Perched by a scenic lake, this spot pairs warm, attentive service and a gracious host with flavor-packed dishes that many find unforgettable. While guests rave about crispy starters and overall delicious meals, occasional kitchen hiccups—overcooked rice, sauces served on the side, and fishy flavors likely from shared frying—dampen consistency. Still, it’s an inviting, first-time–friendly destination for casual meals and lake-view dining that delivers memorable moments despite a few operational flaws.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken, but it tasted like fish—most likely because it was fried in the same basket as fish. I've never had sweet and sour chicken where the sauce wasn't already on the chicken; I had to drizzle it on from a small container. The steamed rice was overcooked, and while the egg rolls were crispy, they also had a fishy flavor.
The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional—definitely a 10 out of 10! The location offers a beautiful view of the lake, which adds to the overall experience.
The owner was very welcoming and friendly. She seated us, took our order, and personally served us. The food was delightful, and the view of Wasilla Lake was stunning.
