What James Bledsoe doesn't like about Rosie's Café:
This restaurant has really changed. The quality of food has significantly declined. There's a captive audience of hotel patrons. There does not appear to be a desire to please. It appears the idea of maximizing revenue has overshadowed putting out a good product. View all feedback.
Was completely disappointed with the service while we were seated quickly, the waitress assigned to our section assisted tables in front of us and tables behind us. After 15 minutes of her walking by our table, I was able to make eye contact with her and she yells our “ I see you”. And “ she is coming in a minute”. Once at our table she asks what do we want to order? I had to remind her that she did not ask what do we want to drink. My hubby orders the same as myself (omelets) and she says to him “Monkey see..Monkey do…We looked at her in shock as we are a black couple and she says “ smile “ and walks off. We receive our omelets and a slice of cheese is on top of the omelet and she says “they forgot to put it inside” and “ I told the cook you would not mind”. We reported her to the asst mgr and suggested she refrain from making derogatory comments. Asst mgr says okay.
This place has changed through the years, I've been visiting the Nugget since I was 14 years of age when the Big Bertha Breakfast was about $5 I believe... The charm in the ambiance is still there, with the rotating ceiling fans, and the dark furniture, and the open kitchen in the background. However the menu and the service has changed, along with the classic American dishes, it's a little more fancy, and the flavors are not like it was. It was still tasty, and my family enjoyed it. Vegetarian options: Try the Salad with Cranberries Walnuts, very tasty!
This was a very good restaurant for food and very reasonable prices and the staff was very top notch and friendly I would recommend them we will eat there again at our stay in sparks
The cafe is located in the nugget casino and has its charm and a good selection of food and delicious desserts! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Salads and soups Parking: Casino parking garage
MY WIFE AND I JUST GOT FOOD POISONING FROM HERE!!!! The entire experience was rude from the start. Whoever seated us was rude, didn 't say more than 2 words to me, pointed to a table, and that was it. The server, some old guy, exact same way. Never checked on us, never asked anything, or offered to refill drinks. On top of that, we waited over a HALF HOUR to get the check because he wanted to talk to everyone else before giving us the check. We spent $70 just to be in agonizing pain! Thank you, Rosie 's Cafe, for being rude, disrespectful, and giving us food poisoning! As soon as my wife and I got home, we were immediately sick. We 've both been in the bathroom for over an hour sick from both ends. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT DISGUSTING, RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, NASTY, AND EXTREMELY OVER PRICED HOLE IN THE WALL DUMP AGAIN!!!!
