Description
A local Indian restaurant in DC Metro Area has garnered mixed reviews, with some customers praising the food and atmosphere while others have expressed concerns over consistency and pricing. The restaurant offers a variety of Indian dishes, including favorites like Chicken Tikka Masala and Paneer, but some have found the portions to be smaller than expected and the prices not justifying the quality of the food. The outdoor seating setup with space heaters is complemented by a community-driven vibe, although cleanliness of the bathrooms has been a concern for some. Overall, while there are some inconsistencies in flavor and service, the restaurant is appreciated for its efforts to provide a genuine Desi Dhaba experience and connect with its patrons.

Chill environment only has a patio. We went on a cold and rainy day and it was pretty chilly in the patio. So I do not recommend to go on chilly days. The food here is really good. I have been craving Indian curry for a while and it satisfied my needs. We ordered chicken saag and lamb curry. Chicken saag was a bit spicy but manageable. Lamb curry was also very tasty. With all the veggies, it was flavorful. Portion size is really big here. We left with our stomach full.
Ordered take out and wasn’t disappointed. The chickpeas were cooked to perfect and so was the rice. Wish they also served chapati but we enjoyed the meal
Just what we wanted Real Indian Cuisine , not food CUISINE and the more you eat the more the heat , recommend some white yogurt and check out these other dishes all amazing thanks for the fast turn over so we could enjoy curbside
Great little restaurant to get lunch or dinner. Love the outdoor seating. No waiters service. You order at counter they will bring it to you. Everything in disposable containers. Please try goat and aloo paratha. Hard to find parking on busy day.
This is a great find among Indian restaurants in DC. They mostly have covered outdoor sitting and the ambiance is amazing during night. Plenty of street parking nearby and also within waking distance of NoMa-Gallaudet and Washington Union metro stations. Now the food is amazingly delicious. Although for some dishes, the spice level can be above average for non-indian people, butits totally worth it for the whole taste. Each main dish comes with complimentary chickpeas rice. Furthermore there's a baralongside the restaurant which is a plus. So enjoy your food and drinks with cool Indian music and don't forget to clean up thetable after yourself. Peace ??
