The overall consensus of the reviews for the restaurant is that it provides a pleasant dining experience with friendly service and good food. The ambiance is highlighted with unique decorations like a lighted tree in the dining room. While the prices may be a bit high, the overall experience from food to service to ambiance, makes it worth it. The noise level can increase as the restaurant gets busier but does not hinder the dining experience. The diverse menu options, attentive staff, and convenient location make this restaurant a popular choice for diners looking for a quality meal.
Firefly has been around for a while. I was a fairly frequent visitor but it had slipped off my radar screen. I recently recently returned mid-week with an old friend for a quiet catching-up type dinner. Even though it was ‘kids restaurant week’ we had a delightful evening and Firefly clearly demonstrated that (a) a hotel restaurant can be consistently good and (b) an oldie can be a goodie. I arrived shortly before my friend without a reservation and was seated quickly without drama. The cocktails were delicious and the bread basket very tempting. The decor – which is insipred by a backyard scene – has aged well and is still intensely cute and the service was good: attentive but not hovering. My friend and I both enjoyed our entrees very much. I had a nice salad and a perfect roasted chicken with a delicious collard greens side. My companion had the soft shell crab. We both enjoyed reasonably-priced wine by the glass with dinner and shared the red velvet cake which was good but not up to the standard of the rest of meal particularly the hard chalky balls of ‘chocolate’ on top. Overall, Firely, although pricey, is a great evening out with good service, neat decor, good food and beverages, and pretty good desserts. Although I would caution against kids’ night, I had a great time.
Excellent customer service, delicious food. I had the Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. ...
The food was amazing! Prices were good also! The downfall was when our big party wanted to close our checks and they only allowed up to 3 credit...
Easy to find the place but parking will be tricky in the area. Give yourself some time to find it ahead of the reservation. It is good to have reservations, if not there will be accommodation for walk-ins during non-peak hours. Ambiance is nice, seats arewell cushioned, tables heights are decent but atmosphere is slightly noisier. Staff and service is excellent. Food is decent, the taste won’t wow you but cooking methods and attention to details is good definitely noticeable. Overall it will leave yousatisfied. Breakfast menu will be available earlier in the morning. Brunch tentatively starts around 10-10.30am. Signaturecocktail are decent but Great-great coffee. Everything on the morning fuel is excellent. I liked the espresso martini themost. Brioche French toast toast nice but I was slightly surprised by the value proposition of this dish. Corned beef hash, firefly burger, eggs Benedict, all are nice. I really liked the way they cooked eggs to perfection in Benedict. Sides aregood. A good experience overall but only coffee will drive me to visit it again.
Went to this beautiful place for brunch on a Sunday. The food was a whole new level of excitement! Presentation and quality of the food and the good ambience set the right tone for the weekend. But the only setback was the price. We had an Egg frittata, chicken and waffles and Egg Benedict-crab the chef special) and it cost us 70$. A great place to grab finger food in a cutesetting !
