Feedback
Emissary is a solid option for those looking for a place to study or relax in a busy coffee shop environment. While the food and coffee may be mediocre with some issues like lack of vegan options and inconsistent service, the atmosphere and ample seating make it a comfortable spot for breakfast or brunch. Customers enjoy the vibe, location, avocado toast, and pastries, as well as the variety of seating options. With some improvements in customer service, cleanliness, and WiFi reliability, Emissary could truly shine as a go-to comfort cafe in the neighborhood.
This restaurant is a hidden gem! They have a unique and interesting selection of wines. The chef is inventive and talented. With such great potential, I really hope this place thrives!
The avocado toast paired with a green smoothie and almond latte is a fantastic choice for brunch. The only thing missing is a drizzle of honey.
I wish this restaurant was fully vegan because the food is fresh and absolutely delicious. However, the vegan options are not clearly marked on the menu. For example, the avocado salad may seem vegan but it actually comes with buttered bread that is not listed. If they were more straightforward by labeling their vegan options or providing instructions on how to veganize dishes (such as removing honey from a smoothie), this place would be one of the top choices for vegans in the area.
The avocado toast, green smoothie, and almond latte combo is ideal for a brunch meal. Just remember to ask for no honey.
I want this place to be vegan heaven, because it really could be. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. But vegan options aren’t marked on the menu, so even when you think it is (grapefruit avocado salad sounds safe enough), it comes with buttered bread that’s not listed. If they just went through and marked vegan options on the menu, or gave an easy cue as to how to veganize them (ie removing honey from an otherwise totally vegan smoothie), this would place would be one of the best for vegs in the area.
