Feedback
Black Salt is a seafood restaurant in Washington, DC that has received mixed reviews from customers. While some have raved about the excellent food and wine selection, others have been disappointed by the high prices and lackluster dishes. The restaurant's ambiance and service have generally been well-received, with a few exceptions of slow service and limited menu options. Overall, Black Salt seems to be a solid choice for those looking for fresh seafood with attention to detail, but be prepared for potential noise, high prices, and occasional inconsistencies in the menu offerings.
I can't believe it took me this long to get to this gem. Every single dish was amazing. I will be back
It was good, a little pricey but worth it. Not crowded so it felt safe. Multiple servers made tipping standard. Loved the open kitchen and fresh fish counter
The service, food, drink, and ambiance were outstanding. What else is there except for the wonderfully robust local oysters and their specials. I particularly enjoyed the salmon which was light and flaked. The halibut was also prepared to perfection and consistent with the incredible service
We had a great dining experience The Addie’s mussels were excellent. I intended to take a picture but once they arrived on the table in front of me, they quickly disappeared. Each person in our party tried something different and everyone was equally satiated and impressed. Service was perfection. And, there were special touches and attention given to us throughout the meal. The restaurant has a fish market in front. Beautiful fish and seafood are available to buy fresh. The bar and bar seating is just past the market so the smell of fish is still mildly present. But, once you enter the dining room in the rear, the fishy smell is left behind and the atmosphere is pretty, and calm and inviting. An open kitchen allows diners to see meal preparation in action and the orderliness and cleanliness of the kitchen. It is a casual restaurant with fine dining food and service. A great spot for date night, or for families and children. There were several small children in the dining room and all were well-behaved and some familiar with the menu. It was a wonderful dinner experience and lives up to the Black Restaurant Group stellar reputation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
