The wait for foo... read more We've been eating at Black Salt for years. The food is always excellent, but something has gone wrong with the food service since the pandemic. The wait for food and drinks orders is far too long, and given that we've now experienced it several times it seems fair to say there is a consistent problem. We were there at 7 pm on a Friday. Maybe that's where we went wrong. We won't book at that time again.

I intended to take a picture but once they arrived on the table in front of me, they quickly disappeared. Each person in our party tried something different and everyone was equally satiated and impressed. Service was perfection. And, there were special touches and attention given to us throughout the meal. The restaurant has a fish market in front. Beautiful fish and seafood are available to buy fresh. The bar and bar seating is just past the market so the smell of fish is still mildly present. But, once you enter the dining room in the rear, the fishy smell is left behind and the atmosphere is pretty, and calm and inviting. An open kitchen allows diners to see meal preparation in action and the orderliness and cleanliness of the kitchen. It is a casual restaurant with fine dining food and service. A great spot for date night, or for families and children. There were several small children in the dining room and all were well-behaved and some familiar with the menu. It was a wonderful dinner experience and lives up to the Black Restaurant Group stellar reputation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
