I discovered Appioo on Open Table while looking for a restaurant that was open after the Choir Boys performance at Studio Theatre, around 10 PM. My girlfriend and I decided to try this spot in Little Ethiopia since we enjoyed the late Ghana Cafe on the same street. However, upon entering the basement restaurant, we were greeted with loud music and a lack of cooking smells. The waitress didn't understand our Open Table reservation, but the hostess did. The menu had fewer meat dishes than we expected and the flavors were mild. We noticed that we were the only diners in the restaurant. We hurried through our meal and navigated through the dancers to leave. The only positive aspect was that the drinks were inexpensive.
