Spark Pizza Dc - Washington DC
Spark Pizza Dc
Description
This spot splits personalities: an appealing rooftop bar with Monument views, friendly bartenders, strong happy hours and reservable space for celebrations, but occasional service lapses (unclear ordering, odd bathroom doors). Delivery and pizza experiences are inconsistent — reports of extreme delays, cold or bland pies and poor phone/email communication — though fries, wings and some cocktails earn praise. Great for in-person groups and events; exercise caution when ordering delivery.

I ordered my pizza at 2:21, expecting a 30-40 minute wait, but it didn't arrive until 4:20. When I called at 3:30, they assured me it would be there any minute. I called again at 4:00 and was told it was on its way. When the pizza finally arrived, it was cold and appeared old. Overall, a terrible experience. I recommend ordering from Manny and Olga's instead; they're quick and their pizza is quite good. I tried something new this time, but I won't be coming back.
I was very disappointed with my experience. I ordered the Gyro special, and it only included one small piece of lamb. The tomatoes were tough as well. When I called to ask about the meat, I was informed that I could order more meat for an additional charge. Paying $8.99 for a veggie gyro is quite steep. It's been hard to find a decent gyro in DC! Overall, it just doesn't feel worth the money.
I can only give this restaurant 1 star because there wasn’t an option for 0 stars. I ordered pizza and wings at 11:30 PM, and they told me it would be delivered in 35-40 minutes. However, the food didn’t arrive until 1:20 AM, and everything was cold. When I called to complain, they hung up on me. I tried calling back, but they wouldn’t answer. I would recommend staying far away from this place! It’s hard to believe my hotel would suggest them. I also informed the front desk about my experience, hoping they won't recommend this restaurant in the future.
I wish I could give this place no stars. I ordered food at 8:30 PM and was promised delivery by 9:14 PM, but it didn’t arrive until 10:00 PM. The pizza tasted like something you'd get at a bowling alley or a school cafeteria—bland, with a chewy crust, flavorless sauce, and hardly any pepperoni. The barbecue sauce for the wings was equally underwhelming. I will never order from them again. The pizza wasn’t worth the $20 price tag, and the eight wings certainly didn’t justify the $12. I won't even think about ordering from this place again.
