Dined here during lunchtime and it was buzzing. Seated at counter and ordered Chicken Tikka Massala $16) served in a bowl over curried rice. It was delicious especially with the extra green chillies. What a delicious and fun place! 5 of us went to brunch and tried just about everything on the menu. From the amazing chef of Rasika, Vikram Sunderam. a new tapas-style restaurant. The food is less formal but no less wonderful than at the flagship.
This place was awesome! A friend and I were in DC and wanted to try something different. We were not disappointed! We recommend the Pao Bhaji and the coconut jaggery pancakes during brunch!!
Really good high end Indian at very reasonable price points. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic all around. I highly recommend it.
It's all about the pulse, creating an experience. Ashok Baja and his executive Chef Vicram Sunderam, have created a space, a taste, a step into another culture and they've invited the neighborhood in. It's about roots, simplicity and amazing taste. And oh yes hospitality!
I ate here recently for brunch and left completely satisfied. Not to mention it was shockingly affordable. This is one of two places I've ever been to in my life where I thought the food had a blending of flavors that satisfied my palate completely. It also had flavors that reminded me of my fond experience of studying in Madras, India. I'm so excited that this is in my neighborhood!
