The service was excellent and the restaurant is dog friendly. The menu is very innovative, with delicious sushi options. The mushroom curry steamed rolls were particularly tasty! View all feedback.
What jazmine Jones doesn't like about The Roost:
I witnessed the bartender physically attacked the receptionist from the neighboring establishment. The manager, Abby, instructed her to leave, which was shocking. I hate to bring race into it, but I believe the situation would have been handled differently if the receptionist was white. I was disgusted by the bartender's behavior and it left a bad taste in my mouth. Avoid dining here. View all feedback.
Great addition to the grace! I visited many paintings and got nachos, Taco-Salat, burger (viten burger), sushi and a few other chances and ends. the burger is my favorite, I bless it often! cocktails are also beautifully made. my only wish is if they could take off the wheelchair - it can be difficult to find the parking space, even if they just run in to pick up.
I love the roost! I’ve been for coffee, meetings, lunch, happy hour, I’ve worked from there, had dinner… this place is really cool and usually busy. During the day people are working and having lunch. In the evenings it’s very family friendly, lots of kids. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff, covid precautions in place.
Honestly I thought the concept was cool at first and it’s a great place to bring a group with different dietary restrictions/preference, but lately it’s been pretty underwhelming. The selections are few, the Japanese restaurant seems to hardly ever be open, and the food is just ok. The ambience is really nice, but I wish there were more options and larger portions. I ordered a taco salad with catfish on my last visit. I got a large taco shell filled entirely with lettuce and radishes, some of the ingredients on the menu were missing from my salad. I asked them to remove the pickled onion and jalapeños but it looked like they added extra just to make the salad “look” more appetizing/colorful? I got 2 1/2 thin strips of catfish (about the length of my pointer finger). I went to the counter to ask for dressing and the server looked at me as if I was asking for something extra! I thought the salad came with dressing?! If you want a food hall experience go to The Block!
Wow wow wow. This place hits so many good spots. New ideas executed in a marvelous way. Both on the food and drink side and the tech side. Had dumplings, sushi, and wonderful libations. All yummy and of high quality.Once you figure out the interface, the ordering works great. Just don’t get trapped in the too go section! For us old timers, yes you really can order from any of the places, and you can mix things from different food and drinks. Go forth and explore!
I got peanut and chili oil noodles from Yoko and Kota. Very flavorful and hearty — a nice cozy winter meal. The place is cool too, great for a group! Everyone just orders and pays from their phones. Super chill and convenient. Right across the street from the metro.
