Nice brewery in DC. The area is definitely still up and coming . We went on a Sunday and found street parking after circling the block a few times. Next time I would take metro, which is right around the corner. The beer options included many of their well known favorites but there were a few that were new to me.The place itself is very nice. Tons of bar seating and there is a patio outside.Service was great. Definite... View all feedback.
What Jake Farnum doesn't like about Right Proper Brewing Company:
Food was nothing special, not too many options really. The atmosphere within the brewery was strange smelled of stale cigarettes and weed; toilets didn’t flush. People outside were sketchy. Beers were tasty though.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.

I went here for the first time this week to grab a bite before attending a show next door at the Howard Theatre. I like to try a variety of things when I go to a new place. I ordered a burger with a side salad, chicken tenders and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and very delicious. The chicken tender were a perfect size and the fries were beyond yummy. I washed everything down with a Maker's Mark and ginger. I will definitely go back!
Fun Brewery in Howard. The music was great (although slightly too loud for conversations), fairly low lights, and cool art and decor. I was here for a group event so service was pretty consistent but it also seemed like most people were being helped as needed. The chicken sandwich was really good as were the brussels sprouts. I do not usually expect bar/brewery food to be the highlight but the food was good in its own right. Would come again!
TLDR: Food is good Service slow. The restaurant is cute but there is a large grouping of unhoused people directly across the street and the road isn 't lit well, so it 's not easy to tell if they are open. We were sat immediately and all the servers were just chatting and laughing for quite a while. Then when the hostess told us she was going to remind our server that we were here the server proceeded to pull out her phone and start scrolling to show things to the hostess. They stood around laughing for a bit and eventually the hostess brought us water and apologized. When the server finally came over she seemed annoyed and was not friendly at all. The food came out fast and was delicious, but I do not recommend if you are trying to catch a show at the Howard or if you have somewhere to be later.
