What User doesn't like about Rajaji:
This was an almost comically bad experience. I ordered a coke and we went to the all you can eat buffet. I never received my coke and never again saw a waiter until we got our check. We never got our water glasses filled. We found half of the food items out by our second visit to the buffet. The rice pudding was spoiled!!!! Yuck. Food that was available was unremarkable or not very good. Very disappointed. View all feedback. What User likes about Rajaji:
Awesome! I celebrated my birthday there. They brought me a dessert with a candle and sang Happy Birthday! People were very nice. Refilled my water promptly without being asked. I would recommend this place. Food was delicious. View all feedback.

read moreRajaji offers a mixed dining experience, characterized by uneven service and food quality. While some visitors praise the authentic Punjabi dishes and friendly service, others lament the lack of attentiveness and culinary consistency. The buffet, though reasonably priced for Washington, D.C., has garnered criticism for limited options and items being out of stock. Positive moments, such as thoughtful celebrations for special occasions, suggest potential for improvement. Nevertheless, elements like unpleasant odors and spoiled food hinder its reputation. Rajaji remains a nostalgic spot for many, but its current shortcomings may leave diners wanting more.
Lot of options for vegetarians, food was tasty and the ambience was nice. Certainly will visit again.
Rajaji kindly hosted my baby shower dinner with 18 people. The staff was very kind and attentive, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.
Rajaji is now our go-too restaurant for Indian food. Excellent food and very warm service!
