Pie Shop Dc - Washington

Heard music upstairs and decided to check it out. Their security without saying anything got physical with me and pushed me in the chest. No signage indicated any kind of cover charge. When I expressed my frustration to the cashie he was initially fine and then condescending. There are businesses that deserve your money, this isn’t one of them.

I used to get pies from Dangerously Delicious Pies all the time back when I lived in DC. I had the change to go last night after years of being away from the city, and I was little cautious after finding out it's now the Pie Shop. But let me say, baaaiby, the pies are still delicious, the dressing for the side salad is simple but so good and has a new sweet twang to it, I love it. And Jack, let me say the best part of my visit was asking Jack questions about the pies and just enjoying the entire experience. He is the sweetes, knows his flavors, and better yet can describe the heck out of a pie down to the taste, texture, baby got it all! Trust him when he gives a suggestions.

We went to a show upstairs and then came downstairs for some pie. We got the apple checker pie with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, and the smog pie (beef, mushrooms, onions, and gruyere). These pies were SO FRIGGIN GOOD. The staff was incredibly sweet and kind, as well. I want to come back and try more of their delicious food!

Once you find the shop, you won't be disappointed... the pie is AMAZING! The sour cherry slice with whipped cream was some of the best I've eaten anywhere. A sweet start to a perfect evening listening to live music. The venue is intimate, but the outside deck provides additional space for seating. The sound quality is decent. Kudos to the friendly staff for making the Pie Shop a comfortable place to hang out with friends. We had a great time!

Casual racism. I was picking up an order for myself. The girl at the counter wouldn't give me the order until I said which app I drove for (i don't drive for an app; i was picking up for myself). Her boss came up from behind and asked for the name on the order. I gave my name, and offered an ID. She changed the line of questioning to where I ordered it from, while boss dude looked for the pie. While she was questioning me, he reached around her and handed me the pie. Pie was fine as usual. Comparable to Whole Foods.
