Vibrant marketplace with many Latin vendors serving fresh, piping hot plates from various different countries. Emphasis on Venezuelan food which is unique and distinct from, say, Mexican tacos and enchiladas. Prices are reasonable for the area and nearby competition from Union Market. Food was tasty and interesting, but more food vendors, as opposed to bars and shops, would be welcome. Also, employees weren?t very fr... View all feedback.
What Ana Maria Garcia doesn't like about Peruvian Brothers At La Cosecha:
Staff are nice and lovely. The chicken itself is worse than any Peruvian chicken I?ve had in DC, just underseasoned and bland. They forego the normal sauces for a weird relish, a barbecue sauce, and basically mayonaisse, all of which are worse thanyellow/orange/green sauce from a normal Peruvian chicken place. And at that price point too jeez View all feedback.
Their Power Bowl is superior! filling, healthy and i dont feel guilty after eating it all. Something new to change the boring salad routine. Along with the staff being super helpful for my dietary restrictions.
I really hate writing these types of reviews, especially for minority owned businesses. I've been here twice, so unless I've had COVID both times so my taste buds didn't work, for the life of me I can't understand why the chicken and rice have no taste? The chicken has no flavor, was dry, and I highly doubt it was seasoned. The rice was also dry and had no flavor. Themicrowavable Spanish rice bought at Giant or Whole Foods somehow tastes better than this. It's unfortunate, but please don'tbother spending your money at this establishment. I will try and reach out to the manager for a full refund.

I grew up eating Peruvian food. As far and I can remember, I can't recall a single time I didn't enjoy a Peruvian dish or meal until I ate at Peruvian Brothers. I have patronized this establishment a half dozen times and sampled nearly every dish theyoffer. Not once has any of their dishes broken the plane of mediocrity. They've somehow managed the to make Peruvian bland andunappetizing a feat I once thought impossible. Do not eat here. The food is over priced and objectively bad.
Find a better ceviche.....you wont, they use red snapper, everybody else uses cheap dirt tasting tilapia...Even though they voted for the blue socialistas in their gucci and prada like univision told them too, we all make bad mistakes in our lives toour wallet. However, you will not find better tasting chicken, yuca, sandwiches ANYWHERE HERE IN THE DC REGION..
