When in DC , especially near the National Mall and museums, your food options are pretty limited. Penn Quarter offered a great outdoor area to grab lunch and people watch! food was good. ordered wings, Buffalo Chix Wrap, quesadilla and a Bar-be-Que burger. had an issue with my burger (spoiled meat IMO) and they were happy to replace it with another. the replacement was great. service was a bit inattentive and our drinks sat empty for long periods, however our server was nice and accommodating when present. atmosphere was nice and the outdoor seating, again, was wonderful. I 'd def recommend anyone looking for something other than food truck options around the National Mall/ White House area.
Good food, service was friendly and atmosphere was good. I guess it's to be expected at a sports bar, but it was so loud that we could barely hear each other at the small table. Otherwise, everything else was great!
This is the first ever Google review I have ever left. I am not one to leave negative reviews. BUT, we Arrived at 8pm on a Saturday night. We were told it was a slow night, so the kitchen would close so we need to put our order in now. Google says it’s open till midnight. The food came out at 815, and we were still eating it until about 835. They turned the tv’s off at 830 and turned the music off. The hospitality here is the worst I’ve ever had
A great spot in a fantastic location! We stopped for a cold beer and appetizers mid afternoon. Service was top notch. Will definitely swing by again!
Made reservations for 10 for a birthday lunch for family visiting from Germany. Mike B. was very accommodating, allowing us to bring a cake. Mike greeted us and carried cakes and gifts upstairs…very kind. Thereafter, Nate, Kathryn, and Max were patient and attentive to us. Everyone loved their food. My family had never had tater tots before, and indeed, Penn Quarter Sports Tavern had the best! Cheesesteak sandwich and burgers were great. Excellent, friendly service and great food. Reasonable prices given location and a nice place to sit after walking around the Mall.
