I have been shopping at Mom's for years. It is the only food chain in the area where all products are organic. There is no need to sort through the fruit and vegetables to separate conventional from organic. My favorite location is the one in DC. Not only is it conveniently located in my neighborhood, but they also have an in-store juice bar where they make a variety of delicious steam dishes, soups, salads, sandwich... View all feedback.
If you are busy shopping for food, the last thing you want to do is also about cooking, prepping and eating when you are hungry. Problem solved! Order a bowl of your choice and you are set for dinner or lunch! I love all organic ingredients here for juices, cereal bowls or salads. They also have muffins and soup. They also make a cauliflower steak and sometimes have tacos and vegan nachos! I'm hungry to think about it! This café is a great treat - when you shop for food, then take a while to this place! The food is so fresh, it is delicious twice! All dressings are vegan. It's amazing. Opt for the Chimichurri or the herbal vinaigrette... this is my Fav! The garlic infused dressing will probably kill a dozen vampires, but is good. Love this place!
Free parking in the connected garage (level 3) And the Naked Lunch Cafe (inside the grocery store) has huge portions for such a fair price for DC, especially considering that it is all organic. I have the Lin Bowl (Kreide, Tofu, Seeweed, Kimchi, sprouts, mushrooms and many vegetables) for $8.75 and it was so big and filling that I could only eat half so that it turns into 2 meals! I do not know elsewhere in DC that you can order organic vegan healthy foods at this amount for this price! Some bowls have egg and/or cheese, check safely.
This natural food store is part of a local chain in DC and is the most spacious feeling of all. I love that they offer a variety of healthy options and have incredibly roomy aisles that can easily fit two carts and people. They have everything you could possibly imagine from produce to chocolate to supplements to coffee to wine to gluten-free and raw baked goods. I especially love their bulk goods and locally sourced items. The focus here is on fresh, affordable and quality products. One great feature is their "naked lunch" option where you can grab a delicious salad or freshly pressed juice before or after shopping. Everything at naked lunch is 100% organic and vegetarian. The prices are reasonable, especially for organic products. This store may be a bit out of the way for some, but for me, it's worth it to have such a great selection of options all in one place. I highly recommend checking it out!

It is my go-to place for vegan and whole food, vegetable options. They call it "Naked Lunch." Be sure to try their cauliflower steak - it's delicious. Last but not least, the Mom's staff are all polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They ensure that your shopping experience is a pleasurable one.
We originally planned to go to Veggie, but unfortunately it is closed on Sundays. However, we were delighted to discover Mothers instead! I ordered the kale Caesar salad without the Parmesan, while my fiancée had the sushi bowl. Both portions were surprisingly large, especially for the price of $10 each.
