The service was good, but the food did not match the pictures at all. I ordered the Irish stew, which had a very thin gravy that resembled soup. There was only about a third of the meat and a quarter of the vegetables compared to what was shown, and it didn’t have the potato on top as depicted in the photo. Overall, it was quite disappointing—more like Irish stew soup. Additionally, the music wasn't Irish; it was mod... View all feedback.

james hoban is never disappointed. consistently good eating and a beautiful atmosphere. the service can be a little dirty, especially if it sits outside. a great place! View all feedback.
Staff was very helpful, set expectations, willing to move us at a moments notice (we were outside and it looked like rain) all on St Patrick's Day. The grub was good too !! standard fare if you're Irish.
James Hoban's is always a fun spot for a casual bite great service and fun atmosphere. It can get a little loud in the bar area, but there's seating in the back that mitigates that issue. The patio area is one of the best in DC a great venue to while a way a few hours on a spring evening.
Good service. Food was ok. Fish and chips a bit soggy. Calamari was delicious
James Hoban's never disappoints. Consistently good food and a nice atmosphere. Service can be a bit spotty, especially when sitting outside. Overall a great place!
We came to James Hoban's for Saturday brunch when we saw that the Mad Hatter had no reservations. What a nice suprise! There was hardly anyone there and we really enjoyed the $2 mimosas, music, service, and food. Although the brunch menu is short, everyone liked their food. (Party of 4)
