This place is definitely not fancy, but it’s not supposed to be. Great place to see stand up. Nice to be up close rather than a giant auditorium. Saw Pauly Shore recently, he might be a little older, but the Weasel has still got it buuuddyyy. View all feedback.
What Erica B doesn't like about Dc Comedy Loft And Bier Baron Tavern:
Food poisoning!! You are required to purchase two food/drink items. I went to a show in a group of three, and the two of us who ate food here got severe food poisoning that night. I had call out of work for three days as I was sick and vomiting from Saturday night through Wednesday night. View all feedback.
The actual show was good, but the food was way overpriced microwaved junk, only one item on the entrees menu was actually available, and there was a two item minimum again, with most of the food menu unavailable at a dinnertime show. They also brought the appetizers and entrees at the same time, and we were sharing a tiny table with another couple, so there wasn't enough room.I enjoyed the comic I was here to see, but the venue sucked pretty bad. I waited a couple weeks to write this review to see if my opinion would change, but it didn't. I wouldn't recommend seeing a comic here if there are other options available.
Small intimate spot. Drinks and food were ok. It wasn't a packed night but if it was, I would have left drenched in sweat.
The comedians were great but this place could use an update. Menu showed sandwiches/burgers but you couldn't get them bc they said they were out of gas. $13 for beer is really ridiculous and the fries and chicken were not good. Chicken looked like it had been injected. I didn't get any pictures because you can't take pictures and stuff while the comedians are on. Back to the burgers and sandwiches. They say they couldn't make them because they didn't have gas but then they could cook the chicken and the fries and the people that were with us had chicken and waffles fries and brussel sprouts. I'm confused ?. Sandwiches don't require that much more than however you cook that stuff. But maybe they microwaved it. I don't know. I'll pass on any other shows that are there. Unfortunate for the comedians but it's a no for me. Another hand check out. Robby Hoffman. She was good. Please note in the video that's the basement. They do have an upstairs where more known comedians are so I'm not sure how it is up there but the basement is definitely a basement and it was tight but it's DC so be mindful of that.
Came here to see Ler Lionel and I loved the show. The place was small, tight but cute and a vibe.On the other hand, the bathrooms were DISGUSTING. And the staff were DISGUSTING as well. I regret sitting at the bar, everyone had an attitude and I was ignored multiple times. Seeing them slam stuff around all because I wanted a drink. It was like if ordering was an issue to them. It was also unprofessional seeing them complain about not having this or that. It was so sad to see them mess up my drink. They only filled it 3/4 of the way and it was literally just watered down mango juice. It was a $15 drink too. I felt too intimidated to even say say anything and I regret it. I seen someone else order the same drink and they got it in a different cup, i felt some type of way. And it felt awkward being asked “how much change do you want back?” All because I paid cash. The show was amazing but the bartenders literally ruined my time there.
The staff was attentive and fast when ordering and delivering our food. The vibes felt like a British Pub Tavern and intimate. It was so cool seeing all the different taps, beer cans, and European beer cups. We came here for the Ryan Kelly show, which his Jokes made us laugh and such a wholesome guy. He got to do meet and greet with everyone. So the food. You have order a minimum of 2 items from the menu. The BBQ chicken wings was alright little messy and the truffle garlic fries, I wish the Parmesan was melted more. In my opinion, the food is little expensive. The wings were $17 and the fries were $15. But overall we had a great time.
