Nice ambiance to enjoy a nice evening dinner with someone. The menu was a little limited, but the food was good when it came out. Fries were really good, by the way.Food: 4/5 View all feedback.
What Mark J doesn't like about Chartwell Grill:
Service at the bar counter was good. I don’t remember his name though. Food was not good. They should be embarrassed selling crab cakes like that in this part of the country. Crab bisque tasted like Campbell tomato soup with a bunch of frozen vegetables in it. Had potato, peas, corn, celery, onion, carrots, really weird crab bisque. Sliders were ok. Fries were actually really good. Won’t be returning. Yuck. View all feedback.
Restaurant and bar for the Churchill Hotel on Connecticut Ave, just up from the Hilton. Comfortable and open seating with couches and chairs. Locals got flyers saying specials for locals, but I forgot to bring the flyer and the bartender hadn't heard about any special deals. I stay a block up from the hotel and decided to try it. The menu was good with separate food and dessert menu. No drink menu. The watermelon martini was excellent, and the chicken wings were crispy and a nice size. Service was spotty, but it was later in the evening. Conference going on in the hotel. Overall good experience, comfortable place and the food was good. Prices were a bit high with martinis running 15 dollars. Worth eating here if someone else is paying.

Staid at The Churchill hotell and wanted to relax at the evening with a beer. Told the waiter I just wanted a beer and he suggested a Budweiser and I said ok. Later I overheard the waiter talking to another person, referring to me and my friend, Typical tourists only wants Budweiser, it`s the worst beer we have . The waiter did not at all try to sell me on another beer and still blamed me for only wanted a Budweiser .
