Feedback
Boveda offers a mixed dining experience, captivating guests with flavorful dishes like guacamole and tuna tacos, but marred by inconsistent service and billing practices. The inviting ambiance and vibrant decorations create a pleasant setting, yet the restaurant struggles with patron engagement, especially during quieter nights. While many commend the attentive and friendly staff, others have encountered confusion with gratuity charges and irregular food service. Happy hour deals and thoughtful drink recommendations enhance the appeal, making Boveda a place worth revisiting for some, despite mixed feelings about the overall dining experience. It remains a growing establishment with potential.
My friend and I decided to visit dc again and because of boveda, our trip has much more fun. we loved how nice and friendly the manager and the waiter were assigned to us. our reservation was on and our table was ready to go. we stayed even until closing times because it felt easy to sit there and have one of the best margarita drinks we had. we enjoyed it so much that we came back the next night. the manager allowed us to sit on the same stand and even offered us to try a new sangria he had made and it was just another delicious drink! we visit boveda on our next trip and plan to bring more people with us!
When we arrived in boveda, they told us we had no reservations, although I showed them the open confirmation. the restaurant was empty and the waiter told us that we only have one place. we sat down that he didn't offer an apology and the restaurant didn't seem to fit well so we left. my man and I never went out of a restaurant, but boveda just didn't feel like a good culinary experience.
