The food and service were excellent. However, I do have one concern: the online menu is not up to date. There were two specific items I wanted to order, but when I arrived, they were unavailable. Those items were the Caesar salad and the tuna salad roll. View all feedback.
What PAboyinFL doesn't like about Tommy's Clam Shack:
We stopped by Tommy’s on a Thursday evening. I needed another lobster roll before leaving Rhode Island the next morning. Luckily, I hit the jackpot. Tommy’s lobster roll includes a full pound of delicious chunks of lobster with just the right amount of dressing. They also offer a hot lobster roll, but I am a fan of the cold ones. The fish taco was good, I was very disappointed in the bisque couldn’t find the lobster
I was able to try the hot lobster roll 6/10 and the cold 4/10. The clam cakes my wife was a fan of but I thought they were terrible. Finally the fried Oreos were a 10/10. These were unbelievable
We loved the food here! My daughter was so impressed that she insisted we come back before her summer school at Brown ends. We had lobster rolls, baked scallops, and calamari. Everything was delicious. Can't wait to return!
For many years now, my husband and I look forward to our summer dining at Tommy’s. We recently went for the first time this summer and were so disappointed in the food. We always have their clear chowder, and whole belly clam plate with an order of onion rings and it has always been the best in Rhode Island. This year the onion rings were comparable to what you would buy in the freezer section of a supermarket. The chowder was bland and mediocre at best and the clams were a huge disappointment. The batter was much thicker and there were very few whole belly clams. It was mostly just the necks or crumbles of batter. Definitely not worth the $90 bill! I am sorry to say that after 10 years, we will not be returning.
