The Boot Inn - Feedback

Was Kate at The Boot Inn a mag?
My friend hired out the teepee for the evening for her sons 21st. Was lovely but my god it was cold even though they had the gas burning fire on in there and blankets. We all still had a fab time though. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.

Fillet steak to die for. Cooked to perfection. My Wife had a selection of starters as her main, all equally delicious. We'll definitely be back again soon. Great all round! Lovely afternoon out! Price per person: £60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I went last night with my family. The food was stonkingly brilliant (as it always has been) with brilliant portion sizes and really excellent service. The evening was almost ruined when we were initially sat in the Conservatory with the deafeningly loud live music. Fortunately the lovely waitress was able to move us, but i would caution the Boot to make it absolutely clear that for those who book 'for dinner ' (which we did) that they really should not be sat in a live music venue. We will be returning Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
The Boot gastropub offers a varied dining experience, blending charm and character with culinary promise. While the atmosphere celebrates cozy, rustic vibes, service consistency shines through, with most staff noted for their attentiveness and friendliness. Diners rave about the well-prepared dishes, especially desserts, though some felt that vegetarian options could be improved. The menu may be limited, but meals generally receive praise for quality and presentation, catering to both casual and special occasions. Overall, The Boot balances its cozy environment with culinary offerings, making it a considerate choice for casual dining or celebratory gatherings.

When you're practically in the middle of nowhere you don't necessarily expect to come across a restaurant that easily competes with 5 star restaurants
Visited the boot last weekend, been before and had been disappointed but decided to give it another go.
The food we had was very disappointingMy wife had a 'fancied' bubble and squeak that came with a hollindaise sauce.
The staff are great, the food was lovely. But, we were seated in an outside marquee, one minute it was warm, the next it was cold. As our meal lasted almost 3hrs, it wasn't great. After being seated, the drinks came quick, followed by our order being taken. A short time later the starters came. Some time later, we started to get our main meal, the first 4 of the 6 meals came out, after a bit of a wait the other 2. Maybe 5 minutes later the side orders, then we had to wait for the veg. If it wasn't for the restaurant temperature and the main course problems, I'd recommend the Boot.
This is one of my favourite places to go for every single occasion! You are treated so warmly by ALL staff members and the experience has been nothing less than amazing. It was my first trip back since COVID and I was so impressed to see how well they have followed the regulations and still kept their high standard of service and food regardless of how busy it was! Definitely couldn't recommend it enough!! Never have had a bad experience here at all.
