I've been to this restaurant a few times when visiting friends in the Sauerland part of North Rhine Westphalia and I love coming back every time for tasty food,... read more I've been to this restaurant a few times when visiting friends in the Sauerland part of North Rhine Westphalia and I love coming back every time for tasty food, original Warsteiner lager beer and the ever so friendly and professional service. Attached to the restaurant...is a horse parkour and if you are lucky you can see horses being trained. In September the brewery organises a hot air ballon festival when people from all over the world come to Warstein to ride the balloons over the beautiful countryside, something you don't want to miss as it is spectacular when hundreds of hot air balloons lift gently up into the sky in the early morning hours. If you can't make up your mind when it comes to what to pick from the menus go for the typical German Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, chips and a salad, so yummy

Sehr schön ist d... read more Dieser Gasthof ist sehr einladend. Das Ambiente ist einzigartig. Es gibt verschiedene Gasträume die individuell, sehr attraktiv gestaltet sind. Sehr schön ist der einzigartige Blick vom Gastraum aus in die Reithalle. Die Toilettenräume in ihrer Gestaltung sind klasse. Speisen und Getränke sind gut, für jedermann ist etwas auf der kleinen aber feinen Speisekarte dabei. In den Sommermonaten lädt eine großzügige Außenterasse zum verweilen ein.

We would have had to wait another hou... read more We had reserved a table for dinner at the Montgolfiade. After 45 minutes, and after repeated requests, the drinks arrived. We would have had to wait another hour and a half for dinner, so we decided not to. Finally, we even paid for drinks we didn't even have. The staff was very helpful but hopelessly overwhelmed, as they were completely understaffed. This was very poor preparation, as the rush of visitors certainly wasn't surprising.
