A pleasant selection of sandwiches, mini cakes and Devon scone with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Very reasonably priced but in very cluttered surroundings as used tables were not being cleared and cleaned promptly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Marks Spencer:
Did some shopping in the store and decided to have a spot lunch, the days of menus on the table and orders taken by staff are gone, queing now,not a positive change.Order given and we waited for our food, the staff did not seem to have much idea of what was going on, aimlessly walking around carrying trays, tables full of pots all over the place. When the food arrived after major confusion, the staff were short with us and... I went to this restaurant for a quick lunch while shopping for clothes. When I ordered a kids cheese and ham toastie from the menu, I was told there would be a 30-minute wait. The food finally arrived after 25 minutes, but it was just a cheese toastie, not what I had ordered. When I asked about it, I was informed that they only offer cheese toasties for kids now, which was not communicated to me when I placed the order. The only positive aspect was the cappuccino. The tables were dirty from previous customers, but eventually cleaned up. The staff seemed unhappy and uninterested in being there. Overall, I was very disappointed and my daughter was too. I do not plan on returning for food in the future.
I recently went to this restaurant for lunch and was disappointed with my experience. The downstairs cafe was not serving hot food, so I had to go upstairs. However, the menu hanging up was too small to read. I ended up ordering a veggie toastie, but the man at the till was unhelpful and grumbled when I asked for a glass for my drink. When the toastie finally arrived, it was not what I had expected based on the website and was not enjoyable. The tables were dirty and there was a mess on the floor. The staff seemed either stressed or disinterested. I expected better from M and S and will not be returning.
Every month, my friend and I have lunch at the M S restaurant in Gemini Centre, Warrington. My friend is a vegetarian who also needs gluten-free options without seeds. Unfortunately, M S doesn't provide any plain sandwiches on suitable bread and can't even offer a plain scone for dessert. This is very disappointing for her and other customers who have similar dietary restrictions. Please address this issue as soon as possible. On a positive note, the staff are always very polite and helpful.
In 2023, multiple cafe visits were poor. Exceeding long queues at the cash desks, dirty tables and very few staff . Visited yesterday on a Sunday and can see positive change. Lots of staff making hot drinks while others taking orders at the same time. Previously, one member had to do both which never worked. Food from kitchen being made quickly and served quickly. Still room for improvement but staff and management working far better and they smile more!! Keep it up.
Gluten free options for a hot breakfast are non existent. Even the omelette comes on a wheat based roll why? I would expect better from M&S. I ended up with an iced bun.
