Description

Nestled in the heart of Culcheth, this pub offers a welcoming atmosphere complemented by friendly staff and a diverse drink selection. Diners have experienced mixed service, with some long waits for food and occasional disorganization during busy periods. While portions can be on the smaller side, the quality of freshly prepared dishes, including highly praised steaks and comforting roasts, often makes up for the delays. The establishment is dog-friendly and features inviting spaces perfect for cozy gatherings. Many patrons express a desire to return, appreciating the local ingredients and overall dining experience, despite a few operational hiccups.

Had a lovely family lunch here today. Our waitress, Paige was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend dining here and we will return.

Came here with my family for a Mothers Day meal, with high expectations, after seeing good reviews. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Service was Terrible! Upon arrival (we had a table booked for 3pm) we were told to order drinks at the bar, as the table needed to be cleaned and would be ready in a few minutes. We ordered our drinks (rude bar staff) and got taken to our table around 3:10. We then ordered our food pretty quickly after. It then took around 50 minutes for the starters to be brought out to us. And then waited a further 30 minutes from our starters being taken away until we received our mains. The food was as terrible as the service! No taste or flavour and the Yorkshire puddings were more like flat pancakes! Overall, the staff were rude and unprofessional, the service was appalling (it wasn’t that busy with plenty of staff- a lot of the time the staff were just standing around). The food matched the standard of the experience. Would not be returning again and will certainly not be recommending!

Went Wednesday early evening, sorry to say food wasn't good. All 4 of us didn't eat more than 25% of the meal and sent it back (the picture is what was sent back) fish was greasy, you can see how much bottom left under the fish with soggy batter, the chips were like rubber. Waitress was asked if it had been microwaved, assured not but I'm not convinced. Meal was offered for free. Not recommended.
