Description

Anmol Indian Restaurant has garnered a mixed bag of feedback from its patrons. While some customers rave about the flavorful dishes, attentive service, and welcoming atmosphere, others express disappointment over poor food quality and hygiene standards. Highlights include a well-executed Sunday buffet, praised for its made-to-order dishes, and a loyal customer base that appreciates consistent experiences since 2004. Yet, issues like bland flavors, inconsistency in portion sizes, and cleanliness have prompted some diners to seek alternatives. Overall, Anmol remains a popular choice for Indian cuisine, though guests are advised to manage expectations accordingly.

I had heard good things about Anmol, but unfortunately it was not to my liking. I visited on a Sunday and was surprised to find that it was a buffet-only menu. I thought it might be a good value, but I was disappointed to see that the food was not as fresh as advertised. The portions were small and the food was dry and bland, making it difficult to enjoy. I also noticed that some diners were receiving larger portions than others, which seemed unfair. The staff were not very friendly either. If you enjoy bland and dry buffet food, this may be the place for you, but I would not recommend it.

Just went with my parents to celebrate my new flat and we hadnt been for an indian in forever so we thought we would go tonight for an indian meal and to celebrate this milestone but it turns out the owner and cheif have been changed my parents meal was ok but too spicy and i ordered ofd the not so spicy menu and i may as well of eaten a rotten yogurt it was that bad and wasnt spicy enough for me i had the tandoori tikka masala and it wasnt even spicy! The food is awful, the resturant is dead and they charged us £60 for everything (food and drinks) such a rip off! Never going here again.

I ordered takeaway on a Saturday night during lockdown and it was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious. Thank you, Anmol.

This week for 'Wandering Wednesday', my husband Neil, son Max, his girlfriend Rhi, and I visited Anmol Indian restaurant in Penketh, Warrington. For starters, Max and Rhi had Chicken Chat while Neil and I opted for king prawn puri. For mains, Rhi had chicken tikka butter chicken, Max had chicken tikka masala, and Neil surprisingly chose chicken tikka korma. We also enjoyed Anmol special rice and I had chicken tikka shahee with minced lamb in a rich sauce. We shared 2 peshwari naans and ended with a Chocolate disc mint crisp. We all agreed that the dishes were delicious and would definitely order them again. We made a reservation for 6pm and were glad we did as the restaurant quickly filled up. The food was fantastic and we will definitely be returning. The service was impeccable with no delays. We all had a great night and left with full bellies.
