Harding Street Deli Fish&chicken

Finally a place that knows who how to season food. I wanted catfish and they delivered. You will be smackin and everything while you eat. Fried Tomatoes…so good.

I placed an order yesterday night 10/20 at around 7:00 pm. I got there about 7:30pm. Walked up to the door it was locked. Saw a woman in the kitchen doorway, I signaled like a phone because I place the order by phone. She looked at me went back in the kitchen. So I stand there a man comes out I gesture to him he looks at me closes the door turns out all the lights. By far worst customer service ever how rude. Couldn't even see what I wanted just turn out lights. Check the time stamp on the picture. No lie wasn't suppose to close until 8pm.

If you want a quality fish dinner this is the place that has that at home taste.. best in the West!

This resturant is located in an the heart of an urban neighborhood. There is limited street parking available within a reasonable walking distance. Te restufrant serves fried fish and chicken wings, on occasion they have taco salad. They also serve bottled/canned drinks and some Philadelphia Water Ice (a shaved ice).They have a very small waiting area/dinning room with a couple of small tables to sit and wait or eat. There is also a television in the area, but it was not playing anything while I was there. You place your order through a thin plane of plexiglass and get it from a small opening (little door) in the plexiglass. They apply a service charge if you use a crdit card to pay for your meal, so obviously they prefer cash.The staff there is very friendly and helpful. I ordered a catfish steak dinner and treated myself to a sour apple Philadelphia Water Ice. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my food. I decided to go to a local park and eat it. It was very hot and fresh. The Philadelphia Water Ice was amazing. It was very tasty and hit the spot. The dinner came with cole slaw and fries. It definitely was not homemade slaw, but it was still good. The fries were good as well. I got them with seasoning salt on them and that made it that much better. I was not a fan of the catfish steaks though. I ordered them with hot sauce on them, but it needed more. I really did not like the bones in them and it had a very fishy taste. I know it it fish, but it tasted like fish smells. I was able to eat it after microwaving it when i got home and adding more hot sauce. I may have just chosen the wrong fish. I maybe should have just got the regular catfish. I will have to give this place another shot. I had so high hopes for this restaurant, but the catfish steak did nit meat my expectations. I will keep you posted.

This place has great food but they’re never open during peak times! Went there on a Saturday at 1 pm and they were closed! What restaurant is closed at 1 on a Saturday??? This is not the first time I’ve had this issue. YouShould be able to depend on a restaurant to be open, at least on weejends
