I can't say enough good things about the place. Truly gourmet food by the roadside. Recommended the fried Brussel sprout salad. It took me away. After a couple of very disa... read more The Redemption of the Whole Belly Clam! I have been looking for a restaurant in my area that knows how to prepare Whole Belly Clams! After a couple of very disappointing meals at other places in Newbury NH, and New London NH, I found someone who knows how to properly cook and prepare these tasty treats! I had for lunch today, the Whole Belly Clam and Shrimp plate! This came with breaded and fried Shrimp, Clams, coleslaw, and fries. All for around $21.00. The star of the show was the clams. They were cooked golden brown and were plump! Not greasy, lightly breaded and absolutely delicious! I would have liked more clams and fewer shrimp! The Shrimp were heavily breaded and not my favorite! Thank goodness for the clams. Their Coleslaw is above average, and the fries are some of the best in the area! The staff is excellent! They are knowledgeable of what's on the their menu, and pay attention to your requests with a smile! I will be returning to this remote little gastronomic jewel!
