The George Inn - Warminster
The George Inn
Description
Overall, the restaurant received mixed reviews from customers. Some complained of long waiting times for food, cold or bland dishes, and slow service. However, others praised the Sunday roast, delicious options on the menu, and good portion sizes for the price. The staff were generally found to be helpful and pleasant, with good COVID compliance measures in place. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice ambience, although some felt that the views could have been improved. Despite some negative experiences, many customers expressed a willingness to give the restaurant a second chance, recognizing the challenges faced by the hospitality industry during these difficult times.

A Longleat safari trip to celebrate my Mother's and my Sister birthdays brought us to The George Inn. We found a treasure. Friendly staff, special mention to Izzie, who thoughtfully organised a potted plant and card for Mum's 95th birthday. Much appreciated, thank you. Their rooms are comfortable with a high standard of beds etc. Also, the best selection of hot drinks I have ever seen in a guest room. The bar area is welcoming and plenty of seating for a night cap. Breakfast offering was varied, we choose the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, delicious. Thank you all.
Lovely, friendly staff, enormous breakfasts, comfortable rooms, and large car park and garden. It’s also dog friendly. Have stayed here on a couple of occasions and will be staying again. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Great value
Charming 17th Century Inn. My room was delightful and exceptionally cozy. I found the bar service to be outstanding, and the atmosphere inviting. They offer a wonderful selection of ales, lagers, and cocktails, including Pimm's available by the glass or jug. Additionally, there's an impressive variety of coffees, such as lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos, along with a delicious hot chocolate option. The food was excellent, and the restaurant is quite popular. Notable features of the rooms include a state-of-the-art television, DAB clock radio, mobile phone charging pad, Nespresso machine, and kettle for tea. The bathroom was equipped with both a bath and shower, which I appreciated. Overall, a lovely place to stay.
Good pub and atmosphere. It gets pretty busy on the weekends so I'd suggest booking, however walk-ins are welcome Never had an issue with service. Staff are friendly and polite. It's even nicer in the summer when they have their outside bar open. Crakin place Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
