Reviews summary

A neighborhood mainstay praised for standout dishes—salmon, Bang Bang shrimp, rib sandwich, pierogies—and lively draws like live music, trivia and draft beers. Many guests enjoy friendly servers, family touches and reliable delivery. Experiences vary: some nights feature inattentive bartenders, slow service, occasional burnt or stale plates, high prices and a limited menu. The vibe swings from vibrant summers to gloomier evenings. With ownership changes and renovations looming, it’s worth visiting for favorites but expect inconsistency.

The Salmon with Rice and Veggies is my favorite dish, and it was truly delicious tonight. I also loved the Bang Bang Shrimp. My son is a huge fan of the plain bar pie. I really don’t understand the negative reviews. This restaurant is my go-to choice for quick delivery, and I've never been disappointed. Their food is always consistently tasty. View all feedback.

What Donna dislikes about Breakers Kitchen Tap:

Happy Hour is from 2 to 6, but it wasn't very happy during my visit. This place was vibrant and lively the last time I came in the summer, but tonight felt completely different. It was Day of the Dead, and I'm not sure what went wrong. The bartender seemed like they would have preferred to be anywhere else, possibly on an island. If things don't improve, you’re going to lose customers. I had a mediocre martini, an un... View all feedback.

My fiance and I loved this place!! We wanted to try somewhere new in waretown, and we were not disappointed! The service was wonderful, staff was so nice and seemed genuinely in a good mood. I got a substitution of salmon that should have been more expensive but they chraged me regular price. The food was AMAZING..it was all extremely good and tasted home made. Literally the best vodka sauce I've ever had, and the pierogies were super authentic (they reminded my fiance of his grandmothers! and just melt in your mouth. Also important..they did not short me on alcohol in my margarita like a lot of places do! They know how to make a proper drink. Trivia night was also entertaining. We can't wait to come back!!

Very disappointed in food and bill. The food was just okay--risotto not good at all. My biggest issue is my husband and brother-in -law split the bill and tip using credit cards. When I went onto my bank statement this morning they must've changed our tip amount since a higher amount was deducted. I will NEVER go to this dishonest establishment again. Buyer beware--use cash.

The sisters do such a great job, making sure every customer feels welcome and appreciated. Best blackened fish tacos around, and the flatbreads are superb. As is their draft beer selections and microbrews. Head in and support this neighborhood, hometown establishment!

We took my granddaughter to see the character Bluey last night. We should have left after taking the photos. We had a reservation and understood there would be a wait. When we were finally seated a waitress approached and took our order. We placed our whole order drinks, apps and meal. My granddaughter got her meal within 30 minutes. After that our waitress went MIA. I finally went looking for the waitress after 45 minutes of additional waiting. The food(and I use that word loosely) was delivered by another waitress. The food was almost inedible . A simple Philly cheese steak was burned beyond recognition and the bread was as hard as a rock. The other meals were not better than mine. We went to pay and leave and I expressed how disappointed I was. I jokingly told the waitress we would come back on February 30th. She said oh okay not getting the sarcasm.

At Breakers Kitchen Tap, I gave the "Not Your Average Bar Pie" a try, but found it to be rather mediocre. However, the onion soup stood out as a tasty option. I also appreciated the $2 Miller Lite drafts. Overall, the menu had some good selections worth exploring.

On the downside, the booth seating was unstable as the booths weren't fixed to the floor and could be easily moved—even my three-year-old managed to push them around. The booths also showed signs of wear, with noticeable rips in the upholstery. Additionally, the bathroom ceiling tiles were in poor shape; missing tiles exposed water damage and wires, which felt unsafe. I didn’t sit at the bar, so I can’t comment on its cleanliness. These factors, along with the overall condition of the restaurant, led me to rate it three stars, despite the food being delicious. On the plus side, our waitress was friendly and attentive.

If I could rate this place with zero stars, I certainly would. The food was terrible, and the temperature inside the restaurant was so cold that it felt like dining in a morgue. They had space heaters placed around, which made me question whether they were too frugal to turn on the central heating system. I've never encountered a restaurant like this before. The overall experience was quite uncomfortable, and the atmosphere felt abandoned. When we first entered, I wasn't even sure if they were open. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I have no intention of coming back.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch/dinner. She ordered the grilled honey mustard sandwich and declared it the best she has ever had, with her close second being from Vegas. I enjoyed the bacon grilled cheese burger, which was fresh and served on a fantastic bun—something I believe is very important. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, we had a great experience at reasonable prices. P.S. The loaded tater tots were amazing!

The quality of the food varies each time we order from Breakers Kitchen Tap—sometimes it's just mediocre, and other times it's downright disappointing. The buffalo chicken salad would be enjoyable if it were about 15% less spicy. The chicken quesadilla was extremely dry, tasting as if it had been made three days earlier and left out on the counter.

The burger was oversized but unfortunately didn’t meet quality expectations. The fries were delicious, and the wings also had a great flavor. However, the cheesesteak was underwhelming and definitely not worth the price.

The food here is great. I had the Birria Tacos, the pulled pork flat bread and bacon wrapped scallops, and they are all really good. I can't expect to try more items on the menu. It sounds so good. The bar staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Breakers is one of those spots you might walk by without thinking twice about stopping for lunch, and I'm not entirely sure why. My son and I decided to give it a shot because we were craving a French dip, and we noticed they had an exceptional rib sandwich on the menu. I anticipated it would be sliced like a typical roast beef, but when my sandwich arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find a perfectly cooked, tender steak on a bun. Honestly, if they served it with potatoes and a vegetable, they could easily charge around $20-25 for it. It was amazing! I'm eager to go back and try their burgers. I’ll definitely update this review after my next visit, but if you find yourself in the area, don't miss out on the outstanding rib sandwich!

My husband and I dined there for an early dinner and had a fantastic experience. Kudos to the chef! We both loved our meals. My husband started with the French onion soup, and for his main course, he chose the ribeye with rosemary butter, which was cooked to perfection. I went with the crab cakes, and they were absolutely delightful. Although broccoli isn't everyone's favorite, we decided to try the sautéed garlic version and were pleasantly surprised—it was fantastic! My husband did suggest adding mozzarella sticks to the appetizer menu. He always orders French onion soup and mozzarella sticks wherever we go, so we hope they consider this for future menus. Our waitress, Maddie, and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly. We will definitely return!

On Tuesday, April 5, 2022, I visited Breakers for the first time to help out with a donation campaign. While I was there, we decided to have a meal, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The New England Clam Chowder I ordered was excellent, and the Blackened Steak Bites were fantastic, especially with the homemade dipping sauce—so delicious! I can’t wait to return. The brewery was a nice bonus too!
