The food was outstanding, receiving a perfect five-star rating. I highly recommend trying the Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Hot Turkey Dinner, Fried Clams, Kale Soup, Fish & Chips (Haddock), and the Seafood Platter. The service was equally impressive, earning another five stars. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Wow. I always say if the food is ok and service is awesome I will go back or if the food is good but service sucks I won?t go back. This is twofer. The food was amazing like always and responsibly priced. Melissa, our server was amazing! Patient with mypain in the as* requests and questions. I will go back for the food over and over and request her each time. We were full beforeour meals came and gonna be eating for days! Vels rocks!
The staff was very friendly, and the whole belly fried clams were quite tasty. Most of the customers appeared to be down-to-earth regulars. I’ll be honest: you don’t visit for the ambiance, as it feels a bit outdated and bare. However, if you’re looking for delicious food at a reasonable price, served by friendly people, in a welcoming local atmosphere, this is the spot for you.
