I definitely would give Mexicali 5 stars speaking generally! The only thing I would say is they rush when you sit down and really don't give you time to think what you would want! I recommend going there and eating because I got an order and it was not good at all but when I went and dined in it was soooooo worth it! This restaurant use to be absolutely fantastic when they first opened years ago. They're wicked lazy now. The food use to taste edible. Last night we ordered dinner for pick up. I ordered the Ranchero Avocado salad with steak and the meat was overcooked (if it even was steak...)The guacamole was overpowered with lime juice.The bag of chips was smashed.2 stars. Blessings Mexicali keep up the phenomenal work!Parking: It is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking!Kid-friendliness: There are booths and high chairs also have a kids menu!Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs or stomp to get in or around the restaurant!
Delicious food, great service every time I've been, one of my favorite places.
We've come to this restaurant a few times, and usually have a decent meal. The issue is when we have the older man, I believe he is the owner, as our waiter. He never writes down our order and consistently gets things wrong. That's annoying, but today when we went in, he completely forgot our son's ENTIRE meal. The restaurant was not busy- it was us and maybe 2-3 other tables (we went at 4 pm so we could avoid a dinner rush). It was the very first meal we ordered, before our own. He didn't come to check on us so we could remind him. We only ate a little of our own meals before we decided to get the check and leave (my wife's was bland and I was too irritated to eat). We will not be back, as we can't ever guarantee that we'll get a competant waiter.Kid-friendliness: Completely forgot our son's food.
I really like this place for a small town. I will go back again.
Pleasant enough place. The building is starting to look a little rough tho.
